WHY IS Pepti Lift So Important?
Pepti LIFT enhances the efficacy of communication between the Keratinocytes by creating tighter junctions between the cells. These junctions are called Desmosomes. The Stratum Spinosom Layer, the thickest layer of the Epidermis, is named after the tiny prickle like threads that are part of the Desmosome and play an essential role in epidermal strength and cell adhesion. You will most likely feel this peptide working as the tightening of the Desmones is occurring.
The Keratinocyte communicates with all the cells of the Epidermis. These include the Melanocyte, which is responsible for color. Langerhans, responsible for immune defense, and in particular, for capturing allergens. Merkel cells, originating from nerve cells, and are responsible for the sense of touch. And in the Dermis, the Keratinocyte communicates with the Fibroblast cell responsible for synthesizing Collagen, Elastin, and Glycosaminoglycans.
The texture of our skin is dependent upon the Keratinocyte’s ability to communicate.
